My name is Starla and I love to make meals for the ones I love. As a self-taught cook, I find myself surrounded by kindred spirits whose love for spices have led us on several culinary adventures.

MamaStar Chili Oil started out in 2018 as a simple idea I had while sharing meals with family and friends. Our love for exquisite meals and our amazing tolerance for spice inspired me to make my own special chili oil recipe. I wanted a condiment that could be ready to go for a variety of meals. I received so much support as more requests poured in although I knew it was going to take some time for the brand to grow.

Following a major global economic crisis, as a result of the 2020 pandemic, my business had suffered. It was while working through the challenges of shutting down and moving forward, that things changed. MamaStar customers grew and so did the excitement that came with amazing feedback from our community.
